THE TENTH WORLD

ÚLFHÉÐNAR: ULTIMATE WARRIORS

Úlfhéðnar are well beyond Berserkir. They are Óðinn's special warriors, and elite Viking forces. They are metaphorically associated with wolf pelts (in contrast to regular Berserkir who are associated with bear pelts), as they are known to be inhabited by the spirit of wolves…

Úlfheimr: The Tenth World

He is standing on a cloud of swirling snow. Motionless and silent. Like a frozen giant. Or an ancestral god. The wild dance of the northern lights, not so high above him, is reflected on his silver horned helmet and his golden beard. ÓÐR: SPIRITUAL ECSTASY

The term Óðr may mean poetry, mind, or spirit in norrœnt (Old Norse) depending on context. Óðr is also one of the many names of Óðinn. However, the primary meaning of the word refers to the frenzy, passion, and spiritual as well as ecstatic state associated with sex or battle
