SYMBOLS
HISTORIC RANK & SYMBOL
The original historic rank and symbol dating back to 748 CE was made of either gold, silver or bronze (depending of status of Úlfheðinn) and was based on much older drawings from Natturústeinn (ancestral runestones), in a Norse knot style.
MODERN RANK & SYMBOL
The modern rank symbol, also the symbol of the Úlfheimr (translating to “Kingdom of the Wolfs”) Trilogy is based on the original historic rank and symbol dating back to 748 CE. The patches bearing the ancestral wolf symbol are restricted to those who have been formally identified as Úlfheðnar and who have been issued a Herstal accordingly.
